What Does Alimasy’s Lifetime Warranty Cover?

For your peace of mind, all Alimasy products come with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship*.

The lifetime warranty only applies to the original owner of an Alimasy product which has been used under for the purpose intended in a responsible and normal manner.

The lifetime warranty does not cover products subjected to improper use, cosmetic changes, bought second hand or not purchased directly from Alimasy, or without proof of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused through typical wear and tear, unreasonable use or neglect.

*Zippers: Yes, our Japanese YKK zippers are covered by our warranty for 2 years from purchase. Japanese YKK zippers are the most expensive and considered to be the most reliable zippers available. With normal use Japanese YKK zippers will consistently perform really well for years.

We do understand though that manufacturing defects can rarely occur with any component of a product including the best zippers in the world! 

As such, zipper issues will only considered to be manufacturing defects for the first 2 years after purchase. After two years of purchase zipper issues are considered to be normal wear and tear. The reason for the distinction for zippers is that we have found that because of the nature of zippers and their prominent use on our products, any and all manufacturing defects on zippers will come to light very quickly after first use of the product, or within the first 2 years of use.

Please include your name, address, phone number, Alimasy order number (#0000) and details of your issue or concerns. Please include some photos or a video if possible.

Shipping Information.

We ship all orders from our warehouse in Gold Coast, Queensland. 

Our shipping partner is Australian Post.

We ship orders everyday Monday to Friday (excluding Queensland Public Holidays) and our cut off for same day shipping is 11am.

Orders placed before 11am (AEST) Monday to Friday will be shipped on the same day.

Orders placed after 11am (AEST) will be shipped on the next business day.

Orders placed on a Friday after 11am (AEST) or over the weekend will be shipped on the first business day following the weekend.

Please consider in your planning any potential delays in us shipping orders and/or courier networks during busy shopping periods like Black Friday, Christmas and Back to School.

Please note delivery timeframes provided by Australian Post may be subject to change depending on local delivery conditions and any change to the delivery timeframe is totally outside of our control once a parcel has been handed over to our shipping partners. 

Tracking details are automatically provided for all parcels following shipment. If you have any difficulties regarding your tracking details or your parcel delivery, please contact us or our shipping partner directly.

Express Shipping

Please note that when you select Express Shipping at the checkout this provides you with the Australia Post Express Post delivery service once your package has left Alimasy. Selecting Express Post does not shorten the despatch time for your order as all orders are strictly despatched in the order they are received.

International Shipping

We ship to New Zealand, Singapore, Japan & Hong Kong using Australia Post's Air Tracked services:

New Zealand Standard Air Tracked Service (4 - 7 Business Days): $12.95 AUD (Free Shipping for Orders Over $200 AUD)

New Zealand Express Air Tracked Service (2-5 Business Days): $19.95 AUD

Japan, Singapore & Hong Kong Standard Air Tracked Service: $16.95 AUD

Please note any custom duties, taxes or charges due at time of import are the responsibility and payable by the customer. Any refunds for packages returned to Alimasy due to a customers failure to pay import charges will be reduced by the cost of return shipping incurred by Alimasy.

Our Returns Policy

We love our products – and we think you will too.

However, if you're not a fan, you can return your Alimasy product within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund (excluding any shipping costs).

Please note Change of Mind returns only applies to products which are unused and still in the same condition you received it in (including the original packaging and tags attached) and you are responsible for all costs incurred to ship a change of mind return.

We will process the refund once the product(s) has been received and inspected to ensure it meets our change of mind return conditions.

Ensure you pack your returns parcel appropriately to prevent any damage during transit. Alimasy Pty Ltd will not be responsible for any lost or damaged products being returned for a change of mind refund.

Don't forget to include a copy of your order confirmation in the parcel, so the warehouse knows who has sent the parcel!

Do You Allow Exchanges?

We don’t offer exchanges as these can be tricky for customers and a business to manage especially during busy shopping periods, and we would hate you to miss out on your preferred option being out of stock. To complete an exchange, we advise you place a new order for the item you wish in exchange and return the change of mind item for a refund. Please note the cost of all change of mind returns are incurred by the customer.

Everyday Use

1. Avoid Overloading: Pack only what they need for the day. This not only makes the backpack lighter and more comfortable to carry but also prevents unnecessary strain on the zippers and seams.
2. Balanced Packing: Distribute the weight evenly by placing heavier items, like books, closest to the back and lighter items towards the front. This helps maintain the backpack’s shape and keeps it balanced.
3. Use All Compartments: Make use of all the pockets and compartments to keep items organised and prevent any one section from becoming too bulky.
4. Handle with Care: Use the top handle to lift the backpack rather than grabbing it by the straps, which can cause wear and tear over time. Avoid dragging the backpack on the ground to prevent scuffs and damage.

Storing the Backpack

1. Dry and Cool Place: When the backpack is not in use, store it in a dry, cool place. Avoid damp areas to prevent mould and mildew and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading.
2. Empty the Contents: Regularly empty the backpack to remove any forgotten food items, papers, or other belongings. This not only keeps the backpack clean but also lightens the load for the next use.
3. Hang it Up: Use a hook or peg to hang the backpack by its top handle instead of lying it flat when not in use. This helps maintain its shape and makes it easy to grab and go.

Loading the Backpack

1. Smart Packing: Place heavier items at the bottom and lighter items on top. This keeps the centre of gravity low and makes carrying the backpack easier.
2. Protect Fragile Items: Use the padded sleeves or sections for fragile items like tablets or laptops, and keep them secure to avoid damage.
3. Secure Loose Straps: Tuck in or secure any loose straps to prevent them from getting caught or causing trips.

Cleaning the Backpack

1. Spot Clean with Care: Use a damp cloth, mild detergent, and a soft brush to gently scrub away any dirt or stains. Avoid soaking the backpack or using harsh chemicals.
2. Rinse and Dry: After spot cleaning, rinse the area with a cloth dampened with clean water to remove any soap residue. Pat dry with a towel and then air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
3. Regular Maintenance: Give the zippers a quick brush to remove any dust or dirt. If they start to stick, a little lubricant like candle wax or a specialised zipper lubricant can help them glide smoothly again. Turn the backpack inside out and use a vacuum with brush attachment to remove crumbs and dust.
4. Removing Odours: For any lingering odours, place a small sachet of baking soda inside the backpack overnight to absorb smells.
